Parks Plan

The Parks and Open Space Master Plan is a community-driven master plan for the City of Winooski’s parks and open spaces. The information you provide will help us guide future long-term decisions for Winooski’s public spaces. Have an idea about how to improve your favorite park in Winooski? Got a recommendation for a new feature or new space for a park?  We want to hear from you! The City of Winooski is developing a Parks and Open Space Master Plan and needs your help to define our vision for the future.

Click here to share your thoughts on proposals to date as we work to further refine the draft plan.

The planning process is community-driven, with the voices of all informing strategies for both improvement to existing parks and potential development of new parks within the City. Please take a moment to fill out this survey, and help us by sharing the survey within your networks. Thanks, and we look forward to seeing you in the parks sometime soon.

About the Parks and Open Space Master Plan:

The Parks and Open Space Master Plan is being supported by a grant from the National Recreation and Parks Association’s 10-Minute Walk Grant Initiative (we were one of ten communities nationwide selected for this funding) and began in October 2019.  Through a series of in-person meetings, historical data/plans reviews, and site visits to our facilities, the landscape architecture firm Omnes (who is contracted to write the Plan) has worked with City staff, local residents, and partner agencies to draft a slate of proposed improvements to Winooski’s various parks and natural areas.
